Education Opportunity! - National Dog Bite Prevention Conference
Victoria Stilwell is spearheading the first National Dog Bite Prevention Conference in Atlanta on May 4th 2012. The conference will be addressing many important issues including how to prevent, assess and treat dog bites as well as educating people on canine behavior. There are some incredible people speaking including animal behaviorists, forensic bite investigators, law enforcement, lawyers and medical professionals. This is a conference designed to tackle the issue of dog bites from every side in a constructive and realistic way so that we can make a positive impact on this problem by promoting workable solutions. New Training Classes will Begin Soon!
New training classes are starting for beginners, Canine Good Citizen candidates, young puppies, dogs working on more advanced obedience skills, the Association of Pet Dog Trainer's Canine Life and Social Skills (C.L.A.S.S.) program, and Nose work for Fun enthusiasts.

Laura Clawson is now an approved Canine Life and Social Skills - C.L.A.S.S. evaluator through the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT). Our Fun & Games Obedience classes have been modified to include the components of the C.L.A.S.S. program and your dog can earn a BA, MA, and a PhD!

Laura Clawson is now an approved evaluator for the AKC's Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certification.Our first CGC preparation class began on Thursday, January 5th at Pet Supplies Plus in Carrollton.
The
CGC preparation class is an 8 week course and we meet for 1 hour,
once a week. All skills will be tested during week 8. The next CGC Prep Class will begin on June 7, 2012.
Cost: $159 includes preparation skills and testing

Pet First Aid Training Class Held in Carrollton
Unleash the Pawsitive is hosting Jennifer Perry of Pet Tech for a 4 hour Pet First Aid Training class on Saturday, October 29th from 9:30am - 1:30pm at the Pet Supplies Plus in Carrollton. The cost of the 4 hour workshop is $60 and the price includes lunch.
